Freedom
Independence
day is important to us. This is important to celebrate. Once in a year to
celebrate this holiday. June 12,1898, it is independence day because it marks
the nations independence from Spanish.
The
independence day is a public holiday. It is a day off for the general
population, and schools and must business are closed. In the past generation,
Filipinos have no freedom. Every war there is a freedom. Every challenges in
your life, you just protect yourself from strangers. That’s why freedom is made
or created, to do some task, to do whatever we want to do, whatever we think is
good to us and to others. The flag of Philippines has a meaning. The red means
courage and the blue means peace. The star represents the Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
The flag also has a sun with eight rays which represents the provinces that
have started revolution are Manila, Cavite, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva-Ecija,
Laguna and Batngas. So in the Philippines we celebrate independence day.
It
also signifies the love, respect, and trust we have for the people behind the
reason we gained independence from the westerners that enslaved, controlled,
and wrapped us around their finger. It signifies love for our country because
we gained our freedom through this love and passion for our country, we fought
till death and lost a thousand blood, sweat, and tears from our fellow
countrymen.
There are
so many people that fought for this independence that we are enjoy now.
Thousands of lives were sacrifice but now they are not respected. Independence
day help a lot of importance that is not known by today’s generation.
